ATOS wreck people’s lives

ali haywoodDear Sir

Two days before the Paralympics started Cecilia Burns from Northern Ireland died of breast cancer. While she was undergoing treatment, her benefits were cut when she was declared fit for work in the Work Capability Assessment conducted by Atos. Cecilia is just of one of many who have died since being declared fit for work by Atos.

A further insult is that all Paralympic athletes have had to wear identification sponsored by Atos. That’s why there have been protests in Sheffield and around the country during the Paralympics. Work Capability Assessments are wrecking vulnerable people’s lives and should be scrapped.

Yours Sincerely

Alison Hayward
