Even the Rain

Here is the trailer of the film that will be showing after the Green Fair, thanks to the Magic Lantern Film Club

Even the Rain (Bollaín 2010)

EvenTheRainSaturday 13 July 2013
St Mary’s, Bramall Lane
Doors 6.30pm
£4/£2 concs on the door. No advance tickets and no film club member discount, sorry.

As a director and his crew shoot a controversial film about Christopher Columbus in Cochabamba, Bolivia, local people rise up against plans to privatise the water supply.

The screening will conclude the ever-popular Green Fair. The film will be in the Garden Room in the building next door to St Mary’s church, the other side of the basketball courts.

There will be a licensed bar selling On The Edge Brewery ale (assuming there is still some left after the Green Fair!), bottles supplied by Kelham Island Brewery and organic Spanish wines. There’ll also be a pop-up cafe selling hot drinks, soft drinks and bar snacks.

What a brilliant film! Many thanks to whoever chose this, it was very appropriate for the Green Fair.
