Greens are standing up for education.

graham wroeOn Wednesday March 26th the NUT will be going on strike. They are angry about a whole host of issues that are currently devastating our education system.
Unqualified teachers are now allowed to teach in Academies and Free Schools. New schools are forced to be Academies and kept out of Local Authority Control. Michael Gove continues his obsession with inappropriate testing of both pupils and teachers. Performance related pay threatens to destroy cooperation and team work
amongst teaching staff.  All these changes  mean poorer schooling for our children and young people.

At the Green Party Spring Conference in Liverpool we passed a new Education
Policy which supports the NUT’s demands. Sheffield Greens are proud to be
standing up for education.
