The overall political book of the year will be awarded, from the list below, in a ceremony in London on 28 January hosted by impressionist Rory Bremner. Last year’s winner was Margaret Thatcher: The Authorized Biography by Charles Moore.

Other categories will include political fiction of the year, political history book of the year and political biography of the year. There is also an award for political humour and satire book of the year which will be particularly poignant in light of the Charlie Hebdo killings in Paris this month.

Recent editions of our Greener Future newsletter have included reviews of Naomi Klein’s book: This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs the Climate, and also Francesca Martinez’s What the **** is Normal?  We would like to share more recommendations of books and also films, comedy, theatre and gigs amongst the community of Sheffield and Rotherham Green Party Members and Supporters.
