Major national Green Party policy announcement in Sheffield tomorrow (26th April)

Jonathan Bartley at Sheffield University

Green Party Co-Leader Jonathan Bartley and Deputy Leader Amelia Womack will be visiting Sheffield tomorrow (Wednesday 26th April) to make a major Green Party policy announcement.

The pair will be releasing policy statements on student tuition fees, maintenance grants, continuing the ERASMUS programme, and EU funding for Universities after Brexit.

Their announcement will be made outside the University of Sheffield, situated in Sheffield Central constituency where former party leader Natalie Bennett is standing for the Greens in June’s General Election.

The Green Party came second in the 2015 General Election and this year is a clear fight between Labour and the Greens, with the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats well behind.

For information:

The announcement will take place at 12:00 noon outside the University of Sheffield’s Information Commons, with Bartley and Womack meeting and speaking with students from 11:30 Both Bartley and Womack will be available for interview, as will Natalie Bennett.

ERASMUS is the EU programme that allows students to experience study in another European country as part of  a university degree.
