Team Natalie Sheffield Central Action Day (Nether Edge)

Please register via the button on the right to join Natalie on the streets of Sheffield Central in an area full of Green voters – now with a winnable by-election on June 22nd as well.  Group canvassing and leafleting options, plus a street stall and some tasks that can be done sitting down like canvassing data input. Followed by a pub gathering. We will be joined by Deputy Leader Amelia Womack until around 2pm. If you can arrive by 9.45am you can be part of a nearby campaign photo opportunity with Amelia and Natalie at 10am.

It will be in Nether Edge at 18 Priory Road, S7 1LW on bus routes, 1 1/2 miles from the rail station. Please bring a medium backpack if leafleting. Please dress suitably to make a good impression on doorsteps.

Please meet at either 1030 for no later than 1100 or 1330 for no later than 1400 start(s) at the host members’ house (Helen & Milton). We expect around 75 people so please help our organising by arriving within the designated times.

Vegan food will be available for lunch from around 1245 to 1345 plus drinks throughout.

The host location is about 1 1/2 miles from the rail station on the 97 or 98 bus route. Timetable https://www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/timetables/sheffield/324.htm. They leave frequently from stops on Pinstone St, with destination Totley. 10 minute walk ahead up the hill from station front via the pedestrian crossing on designated route into city centre past the library to bus stops. Turn left after the Town Hall on to Pinstone St – our campiagn office is on the right with lots of poster boards.

Ask for Cremorne Pub stop on London Rd at junction with Alderson Rd. Walk 100 metres in the same direction you have come to the junction of London Rd and Sharrow Lane (Sharrow Lane is on your right, ie you’ll need to cross London Rd). Walk 400 metres along Sharrow Lane to its junction with Priory Rd (which is about 100 metres after the Sharrow Lane and Wostenholm Rd traffic lights). Turn left into Priory Rd and walk 200 metres to no 18.

Easy car route from the north via M1 junction 36 and A61 ring road. From the south or east from M1 junction 33 take the A630 and then the A57 to the ring road. The ring road will get you to within 1 mile. From Moore St roundabout, take the A625 exit then filter left to Summerfield St at lights about 400 yards later. Straight ahead at the lights at the top of hill on Washington Rd to more lights. Right turn on to Sharrow Lane then first left on to Priory Rd. Number 18 is 200 yards ahead on the right with free street parking more freely available after the location.

Travelling people who need more information should ring Eamonn. Lifts may be offered to and from the station by prior arrangement. There is a taxi rank to the left as you come out of the station – the fare to the host house might be around £6.
