Local Election Candidate for Stocksbridge and Upper Don in 2015.
I am a researcher and campaigner for animal welfare working alongside my partner Angela.
I served as a Green Stocksbridge Town Councillor from 2007 to 2011, where I focussed on protecting the district’s precious green spaces such as Hollin Busk and Ewden Valley. I also spearheaded a campaign against fly-tipping and helped to establish the local Walkers are Welcome group.
As a local resident, I am deeply concerned that the City Council routinely ignores the views and needs of the people of Stocksbridge, Deepcar, Bolsterstone, Wharncliffe Side and Oughtibridge on critical issues such as the future of the Leisure Centre and major housing developments. If elected, I would use my expertise and passion to provide an effective voice for this unique and beautiful area.
