Emily Forster was one of 3 Green candidates standing to be elected in Ecclesall Ward on May 5th 2016.
“I live in the ward in the Ringinglow area, and work at the University of Sheffield having previously worked for English Heritage. As a long-term supporter of the Green Party’s environmental and social policies, I joined the party in 2014.
I have been involved in campaigns for social justice and environmental causes for many years, but would like the opportunity to make a difference for my local community. I attend Ecclesall Forum meetings, and recently gave a brief presentation to the group on the likely impacts of fracking in Ecclesall and the Peak District. I’m aware of the issues affecting people in the ward and know the area well. If elected, I will work hard to support local people and raise their concerns as a councillor.”
