Green Party Deputy Leader Amelia Womack will join us for a full day of campaiging ahead of council elections just 4 days later. We will be working in the winnable Gleadless Valley, Nether Edge & Sharrow and City wards – all of which are within close distance. There will be sessions throughout the day with 11am, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm start times. Lunch break from 1300 to 1400 with chance to meet Amelia.
You can choose to do either door-knocking or delivery of an easy-to-carry final leaflet. Please be flexible if you can do both – more people are in later on in the day for vital door-knocking so the 6pm session is really good for that.
Briefing: We’ll brief you when you arrive. You’ll probably be paired with an experienced local person if you don’t know the area or aren’t an experienced campaigner.
Wear/bring: Appropriate clothing/footwear to meet people on the doorstep And, if possible, bring a pen, phone and medium backpack (or similar) for carrying leaflets or window posters to give out when door knocking.
Food/refreshments: Available in Hagglers Corner between 12.30pm and 4.30pm. Bar and cafe.
Hagglers Corner is on the 25 bus route from the city centre (https://www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/timetables/sheffield/93.htm) and is 1 mile flat walk from the rail station. Parking on roads nearby. LIfts to and from the station by prior arrangement with event organiser Eamonn Ward 0750 3883740 / firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please sign up so we know you are coming.
