Andy Davies is running to transform Sheffield into a fairer, greener place to live and work. Read our Green manifesto.

Dear Neighbour,
My name is Andy Davies. I’m the Walkley Green Party candidate for the 7th May local elections. I’m proud to be part of the vibrant and welcoming community of Walkley. I’ve been a Green Party member since 2019. Like many of you, I became fed up with empty promises and little action from Labour locally and nationally. Instead, I joined the Greens because they better reflect my values of fairness, equality, and honesty in politics.
I have the skills and experience for the job
I run my own environmental grounds maintenance service, transforming neglected spaces into places that support both wildlife and people. I bring this same practical, hands-on approach to my activism across Walkley. In the ward I have raised and pursued repairs to potholes on Ashberry Road and challenged fly-tipping across Upperthorpe. I have also campaigned for better public transport and already led a petition to create more green space in the ward on Trickett Road.
I will always stand up for Walkley residents
As a councillor, I would always put the residents of Walkley first. Over the past year, I’ve supported Walkley food bank collections, organised community petitions and fundraisers, joined litter picks, and regularly door-knocked to listen to residents’ concerns. Unlike Labour, I act on residents’ wishes, supporting the nationalisation of Yorkshire Water and fundraising for the people of Gaza.
I can win and bring hope back to Sheffield
Across the country, the Green Party is growing as more people respond to Zack Polanski’s vision of bringing hope back into politics. In Sheffield, that means delivering real local results, standing up for our communities, protecting public services, creating secure green jobs, and ensuring everyone has access to decent housing, clean air, and a strong local economy. Sheffield deserves a future
shaped by the people who live in it.
Together we can make that happen.
