Beighton has two Green Party candidates, Stewart Kemp and Kim Perry.
Kim Perry is a self-employed gardener who works across Sheffield. He is passionate about better transport links through improved cycle routes and buses, and wants to support young people into skilled jobs to build a brighter future for the city.

My name is Kim Perry, and I am a self-employed gardener who works around the city of Sheffield. A vote for me is a vote for a Green voice in Beighton fighting hard for you and not for the wealthy few.
I am really passionate about helping create better transport links across through better cycle routes and better buses to the places you want to go and not just to the Sheffield city centre. Also, as a self-employed business owner, I want to encourage and help push for better support for young people. To help them learn new skills which will empower them to seek the jobs they want to do and to become the future of this city, keeping it moving and building a brighter future.

Stewart Kemp is a retired local government officer and now a volunteer community organiser working to protect, promote and improve Sheffield’s green spaces and river corridors, which are essential for our physical and mental well-being as well as for nature. Since retiring, he has also given time to help young children improve their reading skills, help young offenders get their lives back on track, and, through community forum work, helped to set up and run an afternoon social club for the elderly to tackle social isolation.
Stewart arrived in Sheffield in 1978 as a newly qualified probation officer, initially working in the Beighton and Mosborough areas. He is a keen cyclist, hill walker and devoted parent and grandparent.
