Sun 5 Sept: up to ten young christian pilgrimage walkers from Cornwall to Glasgow arrive in Sheffield, route and rough timings still TBC but arriving Cathedral 5pm. Faith leaders, plus Olivia Blake and Paul Blomfield may join them to walk last mile from Bramall Lane. Cathy Rhodes Anglican environment officer is main contact. (See relay) overnight accommodation needed. Anyone want to join walk – city ward councillors?

Sat 11 Sept: climate change umbrella group event outside town hall, 11-1 with Trades Council and Green New Deal – focus on million new climate jobs. Lucinda Wakefield is contact. Hoping for something more interactive than usual! Opportunity for SGP speaker and stall.

Monday 8th March 7pm to 8.15pm –Magid Magid

Magid’s election to the council in 2016 led to Mayor of Sheffield in 2018 which led to election as MEP in 2019. At a special informal, interactive monthly meeting on March 8th, Magid Magid presented highlights of the last 5 years. Magid outlined how, with your help, the May 6th elections can lead to many more Green councillors and end Labour’s undemocratic rule in the city.

Cllr Alison Teal will Chair the meeting – Alison was first elected by just 8 votes in 2016.
