Chris Sissons was one of the 3 Green local election candidates for Burngreave Ward on May 5th 2016.
“I’m 60 and a self-employed Community Web Consultant. Burngreave has been let down by the council following the closure of New Deal. Following that investment of £50 million we now have no local Forum, Development Trust or local partnership.
“Burngreave has always been proud to be a multi-cultural community and everyone suffers through unemployment, low pay, poor housing and limited facilities for young adults. In the last few years, at least five food banks have opened within walking distance of my house. The Green Party opposes austerity and stands for a minimum “living wage”, affordable housing and protection of services.”
