Amy Mack is the Green Party candidate for Firth Park Ward in the local elections on May 3rd.
“I live in the ward on Deerlands Avenue with my husband. As a secondary school teacher, I am passionate about education and improving political participation amongst young people locally. I believe everyone should have free access to high-quality educational opportunities at all levels. Government reforms, including the increasing number of free schools and academies are putting this principle at risk.
“I have a BA in Politics, and an MA in Research Methods from the University of Sheffield. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking in the Peak District, making jams and chutneys and supporting local restaurants and theatres.”
