Cash grants in City Ward

Community groups, residents and businesses can apply for small grants of up to £500 for projects to improve the area and benefit the public.

Here’s how to apply:

1. First think of your project.  Talk to your ward councillors if you want to get some views on it.
2. Check it fits in with our priorities for the ward, below.
3. Read the Ward Pot Small Grants Guidance 2020-21
4. Fill in the Ward Pot Request for Funding
5. Send your application to wardpots@sheffield.gov.uk, copying in your local councillors.

City Ward priorities 2020-21

1. 1. Supporting community infrastructure
      • Giving people a voice
      • Balancing the needs of residents, late night entertainment and vulnerable people
      • Supporting children living in poverty
   2. Improving residents’ quality of life, health, wellbeing and social inclusion
      • Engaging and empowering people who are socially isolated
      • Supporting efforts to deal with Anti-Social Behaviour in the City Centre
      • Making roads safer with low-traffic neighbourhoods and measures to improve walking and cycling for all
   3. Helping to improve the local environment and public spaces
      • Improving and increasing green spaces;
      • tackling litter, graffiti and vermin
      • Addressing parking, traffic and air pollution issues
   4. Supporting the local economy
      • Supporting independent, social and community enterprises
      • Encouraging use of heritage to support the local economy
