Alan Yearsley is the Green Party candidate for Birley Ward in the local elections on May 2nd 2019.
I have lived in Frecheville since 2003. I work as a news and features writer for a railway magazine publisher in Sheffield. I am active in the Sheffield for Europe and Another Europe is Possible campaigns and am deeply concerned about the effect of Brexit on the people of Sheffield and the UK as a whole. I am also concerned about noise and pollution from traffic, cuts to bus services, lack of adequate facilities for cyclists, lack of affordable housing and Sheffield’s poor record on recycling compared to many other councils.
