Reach Homes based at Heeley City Farm, Sheffield, provide eco-homes converted from shipping containers, starting from just £35,000, costing 90% less to heat than traditional homes and using 60% recycled local materials.

    I think that social housing should stay in the hands of social landlords for the public good. My grandparents lived in a house in Ecclesall, Sheffield owned by a private landlord for most of their lives and they did not have the right to buy the house at a sitting tenant rate without the landlord’s permission. In fact when Grandad died and Grandma came to live with us, the landlord put the house up for sale on the market at full price.
