Thank you to everyone who voted Green on May 6th!

All our objectives were achieved:

  • 6 wins including 5 gains
  • No Overall Council after a decade of Labour rule
  • Council Governance referendum won

Highlights:

  • Highest number of councillors – 13
  • Highest number of wards with councillors – 6
  • First councillors in Hillsborough (Christine Gilligan Kubo) and Walkley (Bernard Little)
  • Highest citywide vote – 28800

Sheffield is now likely to have a No Overall Control council for the immediate future. Negotiations on which parties will run the council for the next year need to be completed before the Annual General Meeting on May 19th.
