Active Travel Fund – Sheaf Valley Cycle Scheme – 4km cycle improvements between City Centre & Norton Hammer – should be on site Spring 2022 with works expected to be completed by September 2022. 2/35

Transforming Cities Fund Nether Edge Connecting Sheffield scheme – 2km segregated cycle route and pedestrian improvements – in progress.  Works should be starting February 2023.  3/35

Transforming Cities Fund Connecting Sheffield Neepsend, Kelham to City Centre Cycle Route – contractor appointed – expected to be onsite October 2022.  Completion expected September 2023.  4/35

Transforming Cities Fund Connecting Sheffield Darnall, Attercliffe and City Centre Cycle Route – in progress.  Should be on site February 2023 – completion expected Summer 2024.  5/35

Transforming Cities Fund “Connecting Sheffield” – Magna Tinsley – in progress – expected to be the first of all the “Connecting Sheffield” schemes to be completed.  6/35

Little Don Link, Stocksbridge – mostly off-road active travel route (approximately 15km in total of which 5km is in Sheffield) – in progress, initial stage complete.  7/35

Stocksbridge Active travel network – funded through Stocksbridge Town Fund – new/upgraded routes towards Ewden and Underbank – Stocksbridge – in preliminary design.  8/35

Active Travel Neighbourhoods – Crookes – delivery of experimental scheme anticipated by end March 2022.   Planters ordered.  3 crossing points expected to be installed mid-April to mid-May 2022.  9/35

Five Weirs Walk and National Cycle Network Routes 627/67 – removal /widening/replacement of barriers on off road networks – in progress.  Barriers either side of Newhall Road to be replaced by bollards.  Barrier changes Manor to Shirebrook – waiting for designs from Sustrans.  23/35

Netherthorpe Road underpass – removal of chicane barriers, plus measures to reduce pedestrian /cycle conflict through underpass – in progress – currently in detailed design.  24/35

Sandford Grove – “The Sad Cycle Lane” @cyclesad – works to stop illegal parking on cycle route – anticipated construction by end of March 2022.  25/35

Prince of Wales Road – Improvements to existing cycle lane under the bridge at Darnall – in preliminary design – expected delivery April/May 2022.  26/35

Oughtibridge road safety scheme – expected to be going in Autumn 2022.  27/35
